Wow!  It's weird to think of next year already!  I hope everyone is having a great summer!

PS (from Audra) Just a reminder that this blog was created for the Kon-O-Kwee Knit Group (The Kon-O-Kwee Quilters are also welcome).  I have invited some of you to post.  Please feel free to use the blog to keep in touch and update us on any or your new, cool and/or unusual projects as well as just how you are doing.  If you've done any crazy things this summer, I'm sure everyone would love to hear about that too!  If you're gun shy on posting, send me an e-mail and I'll post it for you!  I'll be sending out more invites to post on the blog in the next couple of weeks.  Keep an eye out in your e-mail!

When It All Began

In 2005, a couple of my friends, Linda Pollock and Kim Treichler wanted me to start a knitting weekend similar to the quilting weekend at Camp Kon-o-Kwee in Fombell.  So I placed a letter in several knit stores in the Pittsburgh area.  It invited  those interested ladies to join us in February for a weekend of knitting, great food in a beautiful setting with lots of surprises and fun.  We had 40 women attend.  Most were from Pittsburgh, but several were moms or sisters traveling from elsewhere to have time away with their daughter or sister.  It was a great success, and we are now in our seventh year.
